Q.  After installing the Hi-Torque clutch rollers my engine RPM drops while upshifting.  Is this normal?

If you cannot find the answer to your question on this page please email us.

A.  Due to the highly desirable ease at which these clutch rollers move, your engine RPM may drop to below its peak torque range as your clutch is upshifting.  If this happens, you can now get excited because you know your clutch is working better than before.  At this point you will have to do some clutch tuning, which will be much easier than before due to the consistent performance of the Hi-Torque clutch roller.  In most other cases your RPM will go precisely to where it should be and you will be happy.  If you need assistance with your clutching, email us and we will do our best to help you out.  If you wish to talk personally with us, leave us your phone number and we will call you as soon as we possibly can.

Q.  What is the warranty on the Hi-Torque clutch rollers?

A.  We warranty our secondary rollers for defects in material and workmanship for up to 90 days from date of purchase.

Q.  Do you make clutch rollers for other brands of snowmobiles?
A.  Currently we produce QRS secondary clutch rollers for the '08-'12 Ski-Doo and TRA Primary rollers for ALL Ski-Doos, and rollers for the brand new 2012 Arctic Cat 2 roller secondary clutch, as well as rollers for the older Arctic Cat 3 roller secondary clutches.
Q.  If I use Hi-Torque  Rollers in my clutch will I actually get a longer belt life?
A.  Obviously there is no hard and fast rule but we have had a number of customers tell us they are getting as much as 2 to 3 times the belt life that they were getting before installing the Hi-Torque Rollers.
Q.  Why do you offer two different rollers for the QRS clutch?
A.  As we became aware of some of the very high performance products that were being made available, we wanted to offer a roller with a greater tolerance for abuse.
Q.  Is the finish on the TRA roller pin really that important?
A.  Yes it is extremely important that the finish on the roller pin be absolutely perfect or the roller bushing wont have a snowball's chance.
A.  We definitely stand behind our TRA rollers in all aspects of quality control.  However, there are far too many variables which can affect these rollers in a negative way to allow us to offer a time limited warranty.  Some of these variables can be worn clutch bushings, crank run-out, bad harmonics due to improper revs., poor finish on roller pins, clutch imbalance, etc. etc.  As most of the XP owners know there are some sleds out there getting thousands of miles before roller failure and some that are going only a few hundred miles before failure on a similar machine with the same rollers.
Q.  Why do you offer a time limited warranty on your secondary rollers and not on the primary rollers?
